Aerospace Optics Inc. designs and manufactures a number of switches for military applications including LED standard 3/4" square lighted pushbutton switches that are MIL-PRF-22885/108 compliant. The company also produces electronic latch and pulse/timer switches; LED 1" x 1.2" rectangular lighted pushbutton switches for master caution and master warning switch applications; 3/4" square incandescent lighted pushbutton switches that comply with MIL-STD-3009 and MIL-L-85762A standards for night vision goggles; and programmable display systems that comply with MIL-PRF-22885 specifications.

Cole Instrument Co. supplies four series of military-specified switches including half-inch enclosed rotary switches that meet or exceed applications MIL-S-3786. The .562" diameter, 30 degree indexing enclosed rotary switches produced by the company also meet or exceed applicable MIL-S-3786 and are tested per MIL-STD-202. One inch, multi-deck enclosed rotary switches are available with 30, 36, 45, 60, and 90 degree indexing; while the miniature multi-deck switches are available as solder lug, PC termination or illuminated types.

ITW Switches provides military approved and QPL switches for rugged military applications. The various switches meet either MIL-PRF-8805/7, MIL-PRF 8805/39, MIL-PRF 8805/40, MIL-PRF-8805/76, MIL-PRF-8805/77, MIL-PRF, 8805/80, MIL-PRF-8805/84, or MIL-PRF-8805/100 specifications.

APEM Components Inc. manufactures a line of military-approved switches including professional toggle switches that are QPL-certified to MIL-DTL-83731 and MIL-DTL-3950, and high performance pushbutton switches rated to 100,000 cycles. Other military products include IP 68 sealed selector toggle switches, pushbutton switches for harsh environments, and environmentally sealed toggle switches that are compliant to MIL-DTL-3950 standards.

Eaton Corp. designs switches for OEM and MIL-spec customer applications including aircraft and military requirements. The switches are available as contactless, extended-life, snap-action, tapered, illuminated and limit switch versions.

MIL-Spec thermal switches designed and manufactured by Honeywell Sensing and Control are small and lightweight - less than 100 grams each - and are qualified to numerous commercial, aerospace, military and NASA specifications.

SteinAir distributes MIL-Spec locking toggle switches manufactured by EATON/Honeywell. The toggle switches meet MS24658-23D or MS27408-4A requirements, and are available as miniature or standard size models with rating from 15 amps, 12-14 VDC; or 5 amps @ 28VDC.

Electroswitch distributes four series of MIL-Spec rotary switches available with diameters of 1.43", 1", 1.75" square, and 2.5" square, and up to 48 positions. The various switches are designed to meet the requirements of MIL-S_3786/28, MIL-S-3786/4, MIL-S-3786/40, or MIL-S-3786/15.

Digitran produces very low profile rotary switches and custom-designed rotary switches that meet MIL-DTL-3786 and MIL-PRF 22710 specifications. The low profile switches feature behind-the-panel depth of 0.142 inch.
