Omron carries an array of safety switches designed to work together with hinged, sliding, or lift-off guards and barriers; when the guard is opened, the power supply to the machine is disconnected.  They offer both compact and non-compact rope pull safety interlock switches for mounting widths as small as 40 mm, rated to IP67 (NEMA6), and rope spans up to 200 m. Guard door locking safety switches are also available.

Safety interlock switches from Banner Engineering include SI-MAG Series 3-component magnet style switches that tolerate dirt buildup, washdowns, and misalignment; locking style switches with several choices of locking mechanisms and operating voltages; and compact plastic style safety interlock switches available in both limit switch and flat-pack styles.

SICK manufactures both electro-mechanical and non-contact safety switches. The electro-mechanical types come in four groupings: separate actuators, locking devices, position switches, and safety hinge switches. Up to four total positive opening contacts are available on the switches, which are made of either plastic or metal.

Allen-Bradley offers interlock, trapped key, and safety limit safety switches. The interlock switches come in tongue interlock, guard locking, non-contact, and hinge configurations, and offer different options on how the switch can be operated and mounted on the guard. Safety limit switches are available in two styles: IEC or NEMA.

Allied Electronics sells safety switches from a long list of manufacturers, including STI, Microswitch, Banner Engineering, Hermetic Switch, and Omron. Products come in an assortment of contact forms, from 1 NC/NO to 2NC/1NO BBM; various voltage and current ratings; mounting types such as DIN rail, door, and panel; and termination options like cable, M16 + NPT adapter, M20 + NPT adapter, and screw. Many switches also come IP66 or IP67 rated, and RoHS compliant.

EE Controls specializes in safety interlock switches, rope pull switches, and other machine safety switches to protect personnel from hazardous machinery. Interlock switches are available with NEMA 4- or 12-rated thermoplastic bodies with door-holding force ratings of 2, 7, or 22 lbs., or with metal bodies with up to 23 lbs. of holding force.

Pilz offers five lines of safety switches for gate and position monitoring. PSENmech mechanical safety switches use increased extraction force on actuators to ensure that gates cannot be opened unintentionally, while PSENmag switches use non-contact, magnetic technology to monitor the position of movable guards and other objects.

Power Components offers interlock and rope pull safety switches from Banner Engineering. The interlock switches include SI-MAG Series 3-component magnet style switches that tolerate dirt buildup, washdowns, and misalignment, locking style switches with several choices of locking mechanisms and operating voltages, and compact plastic style safety interlock switches available in both limit switch and flat-pack styles, with a choice of actuators.  Rope pull switches are available in spans ranging from 6 to 100 m, with trip and latch switch models available; minimum switch life is 1 million.

IDEM specializes in safety interlock switches, including tongue, solenoid locking, rope, non-contact, and explosion-proof ATEX switches. Mechanical interlock switches include Kobra tongue switches in three types: KM provides 3 or 4 pole contact blocks and die cast metal housing; KP offers 3 features entries and polyester body, as well as explosion-proof contact block versions; and IDIS-1 is a compact version with positive opening safety contacts to IEC 947-5-1. Additionally, the hinged IDIS-2 provides 180-degree contact operation at 5 degrees, a rugged plastic body, and metal enclosure protected to IP66/67. For most models, conduit entries are fitted to M20 or 0.5".
